Tricky Life Insurance Concepts

There are many different lines of life insurance. You have options -- Term Life, Whole Life (including final expense/burial insurance), or Universal Life (guaranteed, indexed, or variable).

TWO QUESTIONS

1.) How do you decide which type of life insurance is right for you?

2.) Do you understand the concept of each type?

It's ok if you don't because you are not alone. When meeting with my clients, I have found that some believe one is better than the other or have had bad experiences. Most of the time it is because they didn't fully understand the policy they purchased, the agent didn't explain it properly, or the policy wasn't the right product to meet their needs and goals. The point I am trying to make is... Life insurance, just like all insurance, can be difficult to interpret. It is sometimes hard trying to determine which product is right for you. Insurance is not a "one size fits all" concept. What's right for your neighbor may not be right for you.

It's my job to ask you about your life insurance.

Please don't make it my job to tell your family you didn't have any!!!

Medicare Confusion

Navigating the world of Medicare is challenging. Enrolling can be difficult, but with guidance, it becomes easier. However, enrollment in Medicare A and B is just the first step!!! You have a choice to make. Which option will best help you cover what Medicare doesn't? That involves choosing between a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) with a stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan or a Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan. There could also be penalties you are not aware of. It's no secret that trying to understand the different parts of Medicare can be overwhelming.

A unique way to enroll in the correct Medicare plan without all the stress and worry!

Will you be turning 65 soon or new to Medicare? If so, learn everything you need to know early and get the peace of mind you deserve. I understand the unique concerns you face. It can be tough to find trustworthy information. I have extensive experience and multiple resources to help you like I have helped hundreds of other Medicare Beneficiaries.

When my parents became eligible for Medicare, I realized that it is very complicated, putting beneficiaries at a great disadvantage. I've witnessed many suffering from signing up for the wrong plan, accruing a penalty for not enrolling on time, or even being denied coverage... all because they didn't have the proper guidance or accurate information. I am here to provide the clarity and direction you need to move into this next stage of your life with confidence and ease.

Medicare Supplements vs. Medicare Advantage Plans

They are not the same!!!

ARE YOU ALREADY ENROLLED IN MEDICARE?

Each year, Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C) and Stand-alone Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) change. It is important to understand what those changes are and how they affect you -- your doctors may no longer be in the plan's network, medications may no longer be covered, or copays/deductibles may have increased. You have the right to review your plan and make changes.

You might think you are locked in to your Medicare Supplement Plan (Medigap) or that one company is better than the other. That is not the case. Medicare Supplement Plans can be changed at any time throughout the year. After your initial enrollment, you must medically qualify to change your supplement plan unless you live in a state that offers the "Birthday Rule". Don't pay higher premiums because you think you don't qualify. If you ARE currently enrolled in a supplement, the company name on the card doesn't matter. For example, Plan G is the same no matter which company you are with. There is not a network you have to worry about. If your doctor accepts Medicare, they have to accept your supplement.

You may also feel that Medicare Supplement Plans are better than Medicare Advantage Plans. In some cases that is true but in others, it isn't. Again, this all depends on your situation.
